The trip opens with a guided island round trip straight from Negombo, then settles into five ocean-front days of dancing in Unawatuna.
Free gathering point near the airport — meet the group, settle in. Accommodation in Negombo is not included; we'll share hotel recommendations. The island tour departs on October 18 at 9:00 AM — plan your arrival accordingly.

What's in the price — and what isn't
The package covers the trip itself. A few things are deliberately left out, so you only pay for what you'll actually use.
- 1 group departure: Negombo → island round trip start (Oct 18, 9:00 AM)This is the only included departure from Negombo. Getting to your Negombo hotel from the airport on arrival is at your own cost.

01Why does the trip cost €1,999?
The price covers nine days on the ground in Sri Lanka: 6 nights at a 5-star beachfront resort with half board, two international instructor couples, a 3-day guided island tour with a private driver and all entrance fees, nightly parties with a live DJ, and a welcome gift. Please note this is a preliminary calculation: the event is over a year away, so hotel, transport and tour costs in Sri Lanka may still shift before the confirmed price is published before registration opens.
02How many spots are available?
There's no cap set by us — the bigger the group, the better the party — but the real ceiling is the Araliya's room availability for our dates. That's the actual reason to join the waitlist early: it's not artificial scarcity, it's a real hotel with a finite number of rooms.
03What exactly is included in the price?
See the full breakdown above — the island round trip with accommodation and entrance fees, half board, the workshop and party passes, the airport transfer on the last day, and the welcome gift are included; flights, drinks, lunches and optional extras are not.
04What's the cancellation policy?
Cancellation and refund terms are handled by our Hungarian travel partner, Eurotravel (MKEH licence no. U-000951), in line with standard travel-industry conditions. Full terms will be published together with the confirmed price and payment schedule — coming soon.
05Is the flight to Sri Lanka included?
No — everyone books their own flight individually, arriving into Negombo/Colombo in time for Day 0. Our travel partner can help with flight booking too, which comes with support if your flight is cancelled or changed.
06What if my flight is delayed and I miss the group transfer?
As long as it's not by choice, we've got you — we'll help arrange a way for you to join the group as quickly as possible once you land.
07Should I get travel insurance?
Yes — travel insurance and trip-cancellation insurance are strongly recommended for everyone joining. Our travel partner can help arrange both.
08What currency is used, and how much cash do I need?
The local currency is the Sri Lankan Rupee (LKR). Cards are accepted almost everywhere, so you don't need to carry much cash. When you do withdraw, Revolut or Wise tend to be the most cost-efficient at local ATMs. Exchanging cash at the airport on arrival is fine too — rates there aren't worse than elsewhere.
09Do I need a local SIM card?
We recommend getting an eSIM before you travel. If you'd rather have a physical SIM, Dialog has a counter right at the airport.
10Do I need any vaccinations?
None are mandatory for Sri Lanka — some are recommended. Please check current guidance with your own country's health authority before you travel.
11What's the food like?
Sri Lankan cuisine has strong Indian influences and can run spicy for European palates — in the best way. Milder options are generally available too, and continental dishes can be found everywhere.
12Is Sri Lanka a safe destination?
Yes — it's a safe country overall, and theft isn't something you need to be particularly worried about. Normal travel common sense applies, as anywhere.
13What if I need a hospital?
The nearest hospital is in Galle, about 15 minutes from the main hotel in Unawatuna.
14Is there dancing during the island round trip?
No evening party is officially scheduled during the round-trip days — the focus there is sightseeing and travel — but with this crowd, a spontaneous social has been known to happen.

Waitlist members receive access first. Payment is made in one transaction — the full confirmed price, by bank transfer to our Hungarian travel agency partner. Cancellation conditions apply; full terms will be published at this stage.
Spots confirmed in order of registration. The event is subject to a minimum group size — if this is not reached, the event will not proceed and all payments will be refunded in full.

Meet your organizers
For more than ten years, both of us were active competitors in the international Boogie Woogie scene. But competing was never really about the results or the placements for us — it was about the community, the friendships, and the family-like atmosphere this world gave us.
In 2017 we said goodbye to competing, and in 2019 our daughter was born. Our life took a new direction, but we never stopped missing that dance community.
When we first arrived in Sri Lanka in 2018, we had no idea this island would one day become such an important part of our lives. Over the years we kept coming back, until in 2025 we finally made it our home. We got to know the local people, the culture, the hidden places, and a way of life that's hard to experience as a tourist.
That's why this camp means so much more to us than just a trip or a dance event. We want to feel that sense of belonging the Boogie Woogie community once gave us again — and share the magic that made us fall in love with Sri Lanka along the way.
We don't just want you to visit this special island — we want you to truly connect with it. To get closer to one of Asia's most remarkable gems, and to go home with memories that will still make you smile years from now.
